Join Us for Sunday Worships at 10:30 AM

What to expect If You Are Visiting For the First Time

Intimate - we are a small congregation and there is plenty of room at our table for more;

Relevant - you will not hear the sermons your parents heard; and

Meaningful - what we do in worship connects to the rest of our lives.

The hope is that what happens in worship energizes us and prepares us to live in the world throughout the week as followers of Jesus.

Sunday Service

March 29 at 10:30 am

The palms have arrived, the service has been planned, the choir has rehearsed and we are on our way to Palm Sunday this Sunday, March 29th!  For those of you who are coming to worship in person, you are invited to bring your signs from the No Kings 3 March the day before, regardless of where you are participating.  If you don’t have a sign, come at 10 am and join with others in the sanctuary to make a sign for our Palm Sunday Protest Parade at the end of the service.

For those of you worshipping on the livestream, grab something green that could be used for a palm branch (a leek, a large piece of lettuce, a stick of celery, a sock, a scarf, etc…) so you can join the processional with the waving of palms.  In addition, make a sign that you can prop up against something so that you can register your protest as well.

Our theme for Lent this year has been “Radical Hospitality”.  This Sunday, March 29th, we are celebrating Palm Sunday and our focus will be on Hospitality to Enemies.  We will look at the enemies of Jesus who staged a grandiose parade at the opposite side of town.  More importantly, we will look at how Jesus seemed to relate to those who considered Jesus an enemy.

Communion Service

Communion is celebrated each month, usually on the first Sunday and children are included.  Lincoln Park Presbyterian church celebrates open communion and all are invite to share in this celebration.

Family Sundays

Family Sundays take place every 4-6 weeks. Family Sundays are a time when we ask the children to stay for the whole worship service and we try to do some creative and movement oriented activities in worship.

We want our children to experience worship and understand how to worship while they are children so we don’t just expect them to know when they get too old for Sunday school.

Welcoming Church

Everyone is welcome and we really mean it.  We value diversity, including age, abilities, cultures, race, gender identification, sexuality, class, marital status, and anything else that might keep you from being accepted elsewhere.  Please leave time after worship to connect with our congregation and have food together
